OUR PROMISE TO YOU

Firstly, we always promise to be gentle in our conversations and will endeavour to support you, your close family and friends through this time. We will respect your beliefs, traditions and will always be fair, clear and transparent in our pricing as we walk you through the process of organising a meaningful funeral. No two funerals are the same. What makes up a funeral for every family is completely different, however, here is an idea of what a typical funeral will cost.

FUNERAL SERVICE - £325

We will guide you through the process of designing the perfect send-off. Once we gather all your thoughts and ideas, we will organise and arrange the Funeral and guide you through everything step by step.

The following is included in our service to you in booking me as a Funeral Celebrant:

  • Meeting with the family to prepare a 30-45 minute ceremony
  • Being your Funeral Celebrant and taking the Service on the day of the Funeral

Please note that travel to the family home to plan the service will likely incur an additional charge to cover travel costs

ADDITIONAL FUNERAL COSTS

Any further elements you add to the funeral will have an impact on the overall costs and are additional to our Funeral Arrangement fee's and the overall accumilated price. These can include coffins, transport, Crematorium costs, Burial Fees, venue hire, celebrants, ministers, flowers and anything else you add to the funeral.

1. Coffins £160+

A simple Cardboard coffin will cost from £160 whereas a Traditional Solid Oak Coffin would be in the region of £2800

2. VEHICLES From £400

A simple Cardboard coffin will cost from £160 whereas a Traditional Solid Oak Coffin would be in the region of £2800

There are a huge amount of choices when it comes to transport. You can have a motorbike, camper-van, Fire Engine, Big Red bus, milk-float, Horse-Drawn, vintage or a traditional Black Hearse and everything else in between. It's completely up to you! We can help you find the perfect vehicle to reflect the life of the person who has died.

3. Church, Burial, CREMATION or alternative venue

Funerals can take whatever format you wish, but ultimately you will decide how the funeral will look and unfold on the day. You can keep it simple with one location and just have a Burial or a Cremation. Or you could have a traditional church service which then leads onto a Burial or Cremation. You could even hire out an alternative venue such as a Village Hall, Pub, Boat, Stately Home, Funeral Home, your own Garden, private land or even in a forest or a meadow. There are so many options these days, whatever your ideas, we can help you work them through.

CHURCH SERVICE

CHURCH SERVICE COSTS VARY CONSIDERABLY

Church Services are followed by either a Crematorium or Burial

CREMATION with Service

Great Glen Crematorium funerals tomorrow

Typical costs FOR A CREMATION are £750

You can organise either a single or double slot, depending on how long you would like your service to be.

BURIAL With Graveside Service

BURIAL FEES ARE £800 ON AVERAGE

This may just be a simple burial after a Church Service or you may want to have your funeral service at the graveside instead of at the church

4. FLOWERS

You can bring your own flowers or organise a florist to design a Coffin Spray, Wreath or Garland.
Tribute letters and names are also available

Vicar Leading A Funeral Service

5. Celebrant, Minister or FAMILY Led

Who leads the service will depend completely on what type of Funeral you organise. For Christian, Hindu, Sikh or other faiths then it will obviously be someone connected with that particular faith, but for others you may wish to appoint a Celebrant or family member to officiate and lead the service.

Whilst religious places leave you obliged to follow a certain way of doing things, a celebrant will be much more flexible allowing you to have a mix of religious or non-religious elements in the service. A humanist would be a fantastic option for those who want a totally secular service.

You can also go for the option where you or a member of the family lead the service yourselves. This can make everything much more personal.

Whoever they are, they will need to speak to you and your family and friends to gather stories and find out about the important parts of the persons life that you want to share.

6. Orders of Service

A printed guide of the Funeral service which includes details, photos, hymns, songs, poems and anything else you would like to include in there.

6. Urns from £35 upwards

The crematorium will provide a basic urn as part of the price, but you may want something a bit more custom made. There are many to choose from

FUNERAL EXTRAS

There are so many additional options such as flowers, Limousines, Ceremony Sheets, memory boards, Piper, Horse & Carriage, Doves and venues for hosting the reception/wake
